7-17 cm x 3-6.5; coriaceous ; pseudo-whorled at the end of twig; oblanceolate-oblong or elliptic-lanceolate; margin entire, revolute; apex rounded or obtuse; , base slightly cordate to auriculate; hairless above; some simple hairs beneath; 8-15 vein pairs, curved but parallel, forming an angle of 30-45° with the midrib, flat or slightly impressed adaxially, strongly prominent beneath; petiole 0.5-1 cm, glabrescent, flat above;
Fruits
acorn to 5 cm long and 3 cm wide, sericeous, apex rounded sometimes depressed, base flat or convex; cupule bowl-shaped, 10-12 concentric dentate rings; ripe from October to February;
