6-17 x 3-7 cm; evergreen; leathery; oblong or oboval-oblong, or subelliptic or oval; asymmetrical; apex pointed attenuate; base rounded asymmetric; margin entire near base, coarsely dentate from middle to apex; almost concolor; glabrous above, slightly tomentose with stellate hairs beneath; 10-11 vein pairs slightly raised beneath, at an angle of 50-52° with midrib; tertiary veins evident underneath; petiole 1.5-2 cm, densely yellowish brown tomentose;

male and pistillate inflorescences hairy; 4 stigmas, thick and sessile;

acorn subglobose, mucronate, silky at apex, 1.8-2 cm long, 1.5-2 cm in diameter; cup subsessile, enclosing almost all of nut, campanulate, thick, scaly, 1.7-2 cm in diameter; ripe in 1 years;
