Central Vietnam; 900 to 2000 m;

14-28 m;

7-13 x 2.7-3.7 cm; broadly lanceolate; attenuate at both ends; hairless above; whitish tomentose beneath, becoming hairless at maturity; entire (less often denticulate near apex); 17-20 vein pairs, raised abaxially, at an angle of 40° with midrib; petiole 1 cm long, becoming glabrous;

4 short styles; long stigmas;

acorn globose, depressed at apex, 1.5 cm in diameter, hairy, half-enclosed in cup; cup tomentose, 1.6 cm in diameter, with 6 wide, denticulate, pubescent rings; mature first year;
